UPCOMING PROGRAM

This week we welcome Dane Boggs of Reiki and Rise Machines. Reiki is a form of alternative medicine called energy healing. Reiki practitioners use a technique called palm healing (or hands-on healing) through which a "universal energy" is said to be transferred through the palms of the practitioner to the patient in order to encourage emotional or physical healing.
 As Mr. Boggs says:
"People do not need to suffer as they do. Reiki reduces stress and increases personal balance. Divine light is available for everyone. The endgame is a planet of enlightened souls."

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Last week we welcomed the Safety Patrol students of Pine Forest Elementary School. These amazing children are the motivation behind our Annual Y.A.P. BBQ and we again raised the funds to achieve our goal of covering the cost for their bus trip to Washington, DC. I would like to personally thank all those who helped make this dream a reality!

Crump Kirby Memorial Golf Tournament
On Monday, May 20, 2019, the Southside Business Men's Club (SBMC) Charities will hold its 24th Annual Youth Achiever Charity Golf Classic at San Jose Country Club.

This year we continue to Honor and Memorialize the Founder of this event, Mr. CRUMP KIRBY who passed away on January 31, 2018. Crump's vision and heartfelt dedication is the backbone of the Youth Achiever Charity Golf Classic. From His idea to reality Crump Kirby was the heartbeat of this annual fundraising event. Please help us continue to make His Dream and His Love for the Kids, who are the Future of Our Community!

Proceeds from this event fund the Youth Achiever Program Scholarship Fund. The SBMC is seeking donations for Hole Sponsorships and silent auction items. Your contribution will be a tremendous enhancement to the fundraiser, at the same time promoting your business.

Since 1994, the SBMC has been helping students in our community by ensuring that School Safety Patrol members from qualifying schools can attend the annual school trip to Washington, D.C., regardless of the child's financial situation. In addition, high school seniors who participated at qualifying schools are eligible to apply for a $5,000 yearly college scholarship based on academic performance. Furthermore, we present one
University of North Florida student with the Pauline Smith Scholarship Award. This $2,000 scholarship is awarded to the runner up of the UNF Harry Truman Scholarship Award competition.

In appreciation for your tax-deductible donation, the SBMC will acknowledge your company on the Event Banner, Hole Sponsor Sign and Award Banquet. If your generosity extends to our Silent Auction, you will receive recognition at the Award Banquet.

We are a 501(c) (3) organization and our Florida Department of Revenue certificate number is on file. If you'd like more information about the Youth Achiever Program and the SBMC, please visit our website at  www.SBMCcharity.org.
