Apply for Leadership Shakopee | Deadline March 23

Leadership Shakopee is a leadership development program coordinated by the Shakopee Chamber of Commerce. This six-month program informs emerging and existing leaders about the critical inner workings of our community. Its focus is to inform and inspire leaders - and challenge them to make a difference through personal commitment and involvement.

During the seven sessions, the class will participate in a series of educational and hands-on opportunities designed to inform and inspire leaders - and challenge them to make a difference through personal commitment and involvement.

Chamber Staff Testified at State Capitol

On Wednesday, March 14, CVB Marketing Director Tim Zunker testified to state legislators regarding the reauthorization of Explore Minnesota Tourism funding.

One specific conversation Zunker and other CVB directors spoke to legislators about was the Events Grant Program put on by Explore Minnesota Tourism - the same grant program that helped fund our 2017 Rhythm on the Rails series.

Zunker and his colleagues spoke to both the House and Senate Environment and Natural Resources and Finance Committees on the importance of these tourism programs, as they help with long-term development of our communities by showcasing new events.
