NEW:  NAIA Awards Deadline Approachingaward

Nominations must be submitted by June 15 to your conference office for the following awards: A.O. Duer Scholarship, Emil S. Liston Award, Dr. Leroy Walker Award, AD of the Year, Coach of Character, Charles Morris Administrator of the Year, SID of the Year, Wally Schwartz FAR of the Year. The conference will then submit the winner to the NAIA national office. Visit the National Awards Day webpage for complete list of awards, deadlines, and nomination forms.


NEW:  Tennis National Championshipstennis
 
The 2018 NAIA Tennis National Championship came down to the same two teams for both the men and women. Georgia Gwinnett College captured its five consecutive men's national championship, defeating Keiser University (Fla.) 5-0. The Georgia Gwinnett women defeated Keiser 5-2 for their fourth women's national championship in the last five years. 

NEW:   Men's Golf National Championshipgolf
Oklahoma City University won its eleventh NAIA Men's Golf National Championship last week at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill. Dalton State (Ga.) sophomore S.M. Lee won the individual national title by tying the NAIA's all-time low tournament score with a 12-under 272.

NEW:  NAIA Eligibility Center Updates EC
Students who want to receive an early determination for the 2018-19 academic year need to have all required documents to the eligibility center no later than June 1. Any graduating students who do not have all required documents in by June 1 will need to send their final high school transcript in order to receive a determination.

The eligibility center finishes the 2017-18 academic year strong with just under 35,000 decisions completed at an accuracy of 99.8%. Students with a break received a decision once all records were received in seven business days or less 88% of the time while no break students received their decisions in three business days or less 94% of the time.

The NAIA will be featured in next year's editions of Private Colleges & Universities (PC&U) which will reach more than one million students and their parents in 2019. Last year, PC&U, together with CollegeXpress, delivered more than five million inquiries to participating schools. The NAIA has adopted new soccer rules that will be in effect for the 2018 season. 


Summer Showcase Events Scheduled showcase
The NAIA will host 20 Showcase events, beginning June 12 and running through July 17. Events will be held in Fort Worth, Texas; Orange County, Calif.; Lake Wales, Fla.; Kansas City, Mo.; Olathe, Kan.; Overland Park, Kan.; and Chicago, Ill.
