President's Message
Hello fellow REALTORS and Affiliate Members,

KWAOR is doing some incredible things these days! The Government Affairs Committee hosted an amazing and informative panel discussion on affordable housing on April 11th. A packed crowd eager to learn more about the challenges Rhode Island and the rest of the country face with affordable housing. All of those in attendance left with a better understanding and some new directions to be the voice of real estate in their localities. A huge thank you to all who attended and thanks to NAR, RIAR, RI Builders Association, HousingWorks RI, Rhode Island Housing, Habitat for Humanity, Homestar Mortgage and the Town of South Kingstown.

As the voice for real estate in Rhode Island, issues like Affordable Housing, Flood Insurance, Transfer Tax for Sales, Zoning and Legislation are the key issues that you should know about. Luckily, we have our eyes and ears to all that's happening locally and at the state and national levels. It's never been more important to show your support for those who are making change and influencing policy for home ownership. Please invest in RPAC today, any amount is welcome, your future depends on it.

In the coming weeks, Rhode Island's REALTOR team of leadership will join thousands of other REALTORS in Washington D.C. to let our voices be heard. We will bring back to you the information needed, from the front lines, to be more informed and better REALTORS.

And as always, get involved! You will never regret it, I promise.

Thanks,
Mark
