STUDENT AFFAIRS NEWS

Upcoming Service Opportunities
  • Second Semester Service Hours coming due soon.
  • All students are reminded that verification of service for the second semester is coming due. Christian service is an annual school requirement. The number of hours were reduced from previous years so there is zero reason why a student is not able to fulfill their obligation.
    • Seniors- 20 hours of service is due by April 29th
    • Juniors- 16 hours of service is due by May 6th
    • Sophomores- 12 hours of service is due by May 6th
    • Freshmen- 8 hours of service is due by May 6th
  • To see how many hours a student has turned in please check Renweb. Select family information, student and then service hours.
Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl Collection
We are so full of joy to announce that we collected over $2,550 for Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl. Our Lenten almsgiving greatly exceeded last year's total and was the collective effort of the entire school community and the Pi Day contest during Irish giving week. The collection helps to support food programs both in the diocese and around the globe.

Senior 4th Quarter Attendance Policy
This is a reminder of the 4th Quarter Attendance Policy for seniors that was distributed with graduation information at the Senior Parent meeting on Feb 28th.
  • Senior Fourth Quarter Attendance Policy: due to the limited number of days in the fourth quarter, any absence in the fourth quarter must be verified by a doctor's note, legal documents, or official college/service documentation. All unverified absences, including suspension days, must be made up prior to Commencement. In addition, seniors who arrive to school after 8:15 am during the fourth quarter are required to make up the time missed and will receive the proper number of demerits. (Student Handbook page 25)
  • Seniors will start to be notified of the time they need to make up from the start of the 4th quarter and three options on how to complete. It is imperative that seniors are in school since their marking quarter is already shorter for them.
