Art Show & Ice Cream Social
April 12, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Every spring, the PTA, students and teachers of the Parkview EEC come together to showcase artwork inspired and interpreted by our students. The students and teachers are working very hard on these projects and want to show them off! This year's theme is "What a Wonderful WORLD"!

The Parkview PTA invites you and your family to come and enjoy an Ice Cream Sundae and walk through the school as the first and second floors are transformed into an art exhibit!
Cost: Your child's artwork on display is available to take home the night of the event. We suggest a donation of $10 (artwork donations can be made the night of the event).
Ice cream sundaes (served in the gym) are also available for purchase. $3 per ice cream Sundae (paid in advance) or $5 per Sundae (the night of the event)

Purpose : Proceeds benefit the Parkview PTA and funds are used for programming throughout the school year including the upcoming Teacher Appreciation Week and the End of Year Picnic.
Raffle tickets will be available for purchase the night of the event for some amazing prizes! And for every $10 artwork donation received, you will receive two raffle tickets to enter in the drawing of your choice.

Please note: If you prepay for your Sundaes in advance, tickets for your Sundae(s) will be sent home with your child the week of the event, so no waiting in lines! Please bring these tickets with you the night of the event.

Please RSVP no later than April 5  by filling out the form sent home last week and return it  to the office with proper payment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Parkview Renovations & Temporary Locations
Here are some of the classrooms that students will be using during the temporary relocation phase. The setup you see here will change. Furniture, toys, and equipment will be brought over from the EEC.

The Parkview Early Education Center will be undergoing renovations as a part of the district facilities project that was approved by voters in November 2016. Once the upgrades are complete, Parkview families will see a fully-renovated building with completely refreshed classrooms, an upgraded secure entrance, parking lot and playground expansion, air conditioning throughout the first floor classrooms, updated electrical, plumbing, lighting, and new furniture and finishes.

This project will require us to completely vacate the building from May 23, 2019 to January 2020. We will be moving our toddler, daycare, pre-school, pre-K, DAP, and Before-and-After Care programs to St. Richard's Church School located at 26855 Lorain Rd in North Olmsted. This location is approximately a 6-minute drive from our current location.

All services will remain the same, including programming, meals, nap time, and on-site school nurse. Building hours will remain 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

UPDATE: Students who are entering Kindergarten for the 2019-20 school year will attend Gilles-Sweet Elementary for the full year.

We realize this will impact you and your child's routine. We explored several options for re-locating the program based on ratio and other state requirements for daycare centers, and St. Richard's was determined to be the closest and best option for our program. We are pleased to be able to continue services for all age levels at this location, and we appreciate your patience and flexibility during this time.

Please note that if you decide to leave the program during this renovation time, your spot will not be held. You will be moved to a wait list for when the building re-opens.

Please note these important dates:

Family and Community Engagement
From the FACE Coordinator
Hi Parents of EEC,

I came across a website from the Child Development Institute that I thought would be a great resource for parents! I know when I was raising my children, I always wanted to know if they were developing right... so check this out.

If you ever have questions about how your child is developing, please do not hesitate to ask your child's teacher, counselor, school psychologist or myself!  We will find the right resources for any of your questions!

Happy Spring!!
