Director's Note
Dear Ivymount Families,

I hope that you have been able to enjoy the continued beautiful fall weather. There are numerous virtual events happening in school, through Ivymount Outreach, our PTA, and partners. See below for ways that your students can participate and enjoy social activities online. First up are Outreach after-school clubs, which begin tomorrow. Register now using the link below if you haven't yet.

Our dedicated program staff continue to invest in making remote instruction the best it can be for your students. PTA has set up the Kudoboard to share your thanks for all they do. Please see below and submit by the 16th. I can't thank you all enough for sharing your appreciation for such a fantastic group of educators.

We are watching the national and local health data, which, as you know, has unfortunately increased recently. Montgomery County exceeded the benchmark of 15 new cases per 100K and had a 21% increase during the past 7 days. We will continue to monitor the situation.

As we head into the holiday period, we thank all of you for your dedication to our shared commitment to learning and to community health.

Sincerely,

Susan Holt

Fitness challenges and rewards will be celebrated throughout the session.

Staff Dress the Part
Thank you to the several dozen families who came to campus for MLN's drive-through Halloween parade, which was held last week after being rain delayed. A big shout-out to the many MLN staff members who got creative with Halloween costumes. Staff and students agree there's always a good reason to dress up!

Join Us in Thanking Our Ivymount Staff

In November we celebrate Thanksgiving, so the PTA is asking Ivymount families to join us in creating a digital greeting card to show our incredibly hardworking Ivymount staff how thankful we are for everything they’ve been doing during these challenging times.

Kudoboard (kudoboard.com) is a website that makes it very easy for families to attach messages, photos and videos to make a digital group card. Messages can be added by Ivymount families from November 2-16. You can post a photo of your child, a video of your child, or parents can also post videos of themselves expressing their gratitude to the Ivymount staff. We plan to post the card on November 20 so all staff and families can view it.

To add messages, photos and videos, go to this link:
