Come Thou

Come thou! and now, anew,
To thought and deed
Give sober speed,
Thy will to know, and do.
( Mary Baker Eddy Poems p 36:2)

Welcome spring! Happy words, bringing promise and expectation after what has felt like a long cold winter in the American midwest. We hope this new season brings great promise for spiritual growth, the expectation of opportunities to provide practical care for our neighbor, and assurance of divine Love's presence everywhere.

Through the winter months, the CSNN Board members have been active. As you are aware through recent " News and Notices from CSNN"  we have continued in collaboration with AOCSN, the Philanthropy Forum, and The Mother Church to find ways to ensure that Christian Science nursing is available to Christian Scientists everywhere. This new focus on Christian Science nursing is promising!

The 2019 International Christian Science Nursing Conference preparation is also well under way. The theme is: "Here I am, Lord" (based on Isaiah 6:8). The conference will take place at CedarS Camps, Lebanon, Missouri, from September 4-8, 2019 .  Each day will begin with a metaphysical keynote rooted in the theme. All of the talks and workshops will relate to the daily keynote and will address the biblical authority for answering the call into the ministry of Christian Science nursing, maintaining a pure and active practice of the ministry, and faithfulness to the practice coupled with a dedication to the future of the ministry. To echo the poem above, "Come Thou, and now, anew, To thought and deed give sober speed." The ICSNC is a wonderful opportunity to come together from our individual fields around the globe to greet "true hearts" and to glean new perspectives. It is an opportunity to refresh and strengthen our individual ministries, which in turn bless the whole of Christian Science nursing worldwide.

Registration for the conference will open in May. Please visit our website: www.csnnetwork.org for conference details. There you  will find the forms for registration and for lodging and meals at CedarS camps. You will also find information about financial aid. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

We thank each of you for your vital contribution to the ministry of Christian Science nursing. We eagerly look forward to seeing everyone in Missouri in September!

With much love,
