It all began with Jack and Bill Johnson hauling shingles in a horse trailer and now we are one of the largest roofing companies in the State of Texas. In fact, Roofing Contractor Magazine recently recognized JOHNSON ROOFING as the 22nd largest roofing contractor in the USA!
First Central Credit Unionhas been serving the Waco area since 1937, striving to provide the best financial services for its members. In the beginning, First Central was formed by 14 Southwestern Bell Telephone employees in 1937 and was named Waco Telco Credit Union. In 1977, Texas Power and Light employees joined with Waco Telco. A few years later, in 1980, Brazos Electric Co-op Credit Union merged with the group as well. Membership has grown to include employees from many other local companies.
EOACis a private non- profit organization, chartered by the State of Texas on April 25, 1966. The purpose for which the agency was created is to implement and carry out the provisions of the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964. This act recognizes that the United States can achieve its economic and social potential as a nation only if every individual has the opportunity to contribute to the full elimination of poverty in McLennan, Bosque, Freestone, Limestone, Hill, Falls, Johnson, Ellis, and Navarro Counties. 
Waco Police Associationwas founded in 1947. ''Our purpose as an association is to stand as one voice in support of our officers. We look out for our officers 365 days a year and make sure the needs of our officers and their families are met. Waco Officers work hard every day to serve and protect the citizens of Waco, and the Waco Police Association works hard to serve and protect our officers.''
