Clean Up Williston will be held tomorrow, April 27 from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at  the Davidson Park/Aafedt Stadium Parking Lot! Help show your community spirit by cleaning up your yards, boulevards, public parks, gathering places and much more! A free feed will be provided to volunteers beginning at 11:30 a.m. while supplies last. We hope to see you there!

Williston City Commission approves Property Tax Exemption for Qualifying Child Care Facilities
Williston Herald  - The availability of childcare has been a concern for residents for quite some time, but city leaders are hoping some recently approved changes will help improve the quality - and quantity - of childcare in the area. At the Tuesday, April 23, meeting of the Williston City Commission, two items were introduced that could help to bolster the city's daycare resources. City Attorney Taylor Olson presented to the commission a change to the ordinance regarding the number of children group child care homes in the city are allowed to house. Read More

Join the Williston Downtowners Association for a meet and greet with its new director May 2 on the Rooftop Terrace at Renaissance on Main.

The Williston Downtowners Association (WDA) invites the community  to meet its new executive director, Daved Lundeen, and mingle with members on Thursday, May 2. The gathering will be held from 4-7 p.m. on the Rooftop Terrace at Renaissance on Main.

Williston Economic Development is a proud sponsor of the Williston Basin Chapter API's May 7 meeting. The social will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m. at the

Female Entrepreneurs invited to Social Media Training May 8


Williston Economic Development and Dakota Business Lending are teaming up to bring the first Activate Women Lunch and Learn to Williston May 8. The event will be held in conjunction with Economic Development Week. The seminar will feature experts in social media marketing from Grace and Glam, a women's clothing boutique in Williston. Williston Economic Development and the Small Business Development Center invite the community to their awards and appreciation banquet May 10. Enjoy live music, a plated dinner and awards banquet emceed by Joel Heitkamp. We hope to see you there!
New Fire Hall opens in Arnegard
New fire hall opens in Arnegard.
Roundup - The Arnegard Fire Department recently put their new fire hall into service. The previous fire hall was located behind the city hall for the past 30 years. Over the past six years call volume in the area increased by 1200%. This signaled the need for an expanded facility to handle the needs of the quickly growing community and oilfield activity. The new $1.5 million facility was paid for in large part by private donations. The project took two years to complete and gives the department the ability to grow in the future. Read More

WHS Students learn about Aviation Careers

Williston Herald - Williston High Schools students are flying high, or at least learning how to, through a new program offered at the school.  Thomas Sando began his work at Williston High School as a substitute teacher, but with his degree in aviation, Sando wanted to do more. Initially, Sando approached Principal Jason Germundson about starting an afterschool aviation club for the students, but Germundson was thinking bigger, looking to add an aviation class to the school's curriculum and hoping Sando would sign on as instructor. Read More
Sport and Rec Show in April 26-28 in Watford City
McKenzie County Farmer - Watford City's Rough Rider Center (RRC) will be packed with campers, boats and other outdoor recreation equipment when it hosts its first ever Sport and Rec Show April 26-28. According to Kylee Roff, Rough Rider Center event coordinator, lots of new things will be brought inside of the facility that have never been showcased before. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up to clean a specific zone or attend the clean up on Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Davidson Park.

The 88th Shrine Circus will be held at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Raymond Family Community Center.

05/08 ------ 1 Million Cups
The community is invited to 1MC at 8:30 a.m. at Williston State College Teton Lounge. The featured businesses will be Deja Brew Coffee and Elite Designz!

05/09 ------ State of the City Address
The community is invited to Williston Mayor Howard Klug's annual address and free lunch at the Grand Williston Hotel from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

05/14 ------ City Commission
The commission meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 6 p.m. at City Hall.

05/27 ----- Williston Boys Baseball Golf Tournament
A fundraiser for baseball programs in Williston. Four person scramble to be  held at Municipal Golf Course.  Read More
