PTC Executive Board Open Positions
|
The PTC Executive Board is in the process of slating the available board positions for the 2018-19 school year. If you are interested in filling one of the open positions, please contact David Grayson at [email protected] by Friday, April 20. It's a great way to play a meaningful role in shaping your sutdent's experience at Cossitt.
Committee Chair openings will be sent out next week.

Spring Garden Club Starts April 20
|
Is your child interested in planting a flower and vegetable garden this spring? Cossitt Garden Club begins April 20 and runs for five weeks every Friday from 3:15-4:00pm.
Activities will include sowing new vegetable seeds for the summer, planting flowers, learning about our crops that survived the winter, and doing some small garden-related craft projects. Please sign your child up only if they have a sincere interest in gardening and learning about the outdoors. Class size is limited to 25 for appropriate supervision purposes. The cost is $20 for the five-week session with one make-up session provided in case of bad weather.

Ready, set, go ... Registration is up and running for the
D102 Race to the Finish!
The 5K and 1
mile run/walk will take place on
Sunday, April 29th at 8:30 am
, so save the date! It doesn't matter if you are a super speed runner or a super slow walker - please plan to join us for a great time while benefiting the D102 schools!!

Original Works order information was sent home with your child this week.
Orders must be placed online, through April 9. Orders will be delivered to school in late April or early May.
The information sent home includes an individualized sheet from Original Works that contains a unique code that will link you to our school site and your child's artwork. You will need this code to access the site and place orders. Please note that the sample magnets that accompanied order material in the past are not included this year, but can be ordered online.
To place an order online, click on the link below. Use the personalized order code found on your's child's letter with his/her artwork and follow the directions to order your child's amazing creation.

It's official! Our 2nd graders have immigrated to America, made it through the Great Hall and are settling into their new homes all across the United States. A big thank you to

for organizing this year's
2nd grade CCC! And many thanks to all the volunteers,
teachers and staff who helped out to make the CCC a success. We could not provide such a full experience for the children were it not for the generous donations provided by

, internationally renowned speaker on character development, leadership, and teamwork. Lynn is a former US Olympic Athlete and the founder of True Brand Sports which provides workshops around the world to improve the sport culture at the youth, high school, and collegiate level.
Lynn Kachmarik will host an interactive forum: How To Raise Great Kids and What Parents Need To Know About The Impact Technology Is Having On Our Children & Families

We might even have a special appearance by one of our district 102 directors. The "Twisted Classics" food truck will have some great food available. BuckleDown will kindly donate $1 to PIMA for every pint purchased. Get your wristband when you walk in.
