February 2018                                                                                Volume 2, Issue 1

Greetings! I'm still in amazement at all that was accomplished over the last year in the field of home-based primary care!

In 2017, the biggest news at HCCI was in the last quarter of 2017, which saw the rollout of HCCI's Essential Elements of Home-Based Primary Care™  workshops, held at our Centers of Excellence across the country. Participants from these 2-day instructor-led workshops are just about to complete their 3-month post workshop webinar series.
Then, beginning in the second half of 2018, they will schedule their 2-day field experiences with one of our Practice Excellence Partners (PEP). We're thankful and excited to continue with this first group of early adopters as they move through their home-based primary care educational journey!

If you were unable to attend this workshop in 2017, early 2018 dates for HCCI's  Essential Elements of Home-Based Primary Care™ workshops are available right now on our website at HCCInstitute.org. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the changes and new offerings you'll see in the coming year.

Yours in health,
  Dr. Tom Cornwell
What We Learned And Where We're Going In 2018

2017 was a year of refocus, development, and growth, for HCCI.  We did a lot in the last year, but we knew it was important to not just  plan and do, but to study what we did, and act on what we learned.  So, at the end of 2017, we looked f orward, by looking back. We examined what we've learned, adjusted our strategic plan and set new goals for 2018, all to help us accomplish our  ultimate goal of being the leading expert in the transformational scaling of home-based primary care for medically complex patients.

HCCI Essentials of Home-Based Primary Care  Workshop
Based on feedback from our 2017 participants and faculty, we've made minor modifications to the Essential Elements of Home-based Primary Care ™ workshop and we also separated parts of this offering to allow more flexibility with time and price.

Going forward, learners who register for the Essentials of Home-Based Primary Care workshop will  attend the 2-day instructor-led training at the COE location of their choice, and then participate in the 3-month post-workshop group mentorship.   The 2-day PEP field experience (HCCI House Call Practicum™) is now an independent offering and can be purchased and scheduled independent of the classroom workshop.

Looking to Set New Practice Goals?

One of the frequent themes we've heard from HBPC providers is their desire to grow their practice by increasing the number of house call visits they provide. If you're interested in increasing the number of house calls you make this coming year, we'd like to share some efficiency tips to help you see more patients and meet your goal! See our Efficiency Tips For Home-Based Primary Care Providers.
