"Billy Joel: Songs and Stories"

Are you a fan of the "piano man" Billy Joel? Then come to the concert/ lecture "Billy Joel: Songs and Stories" featuring pianist/ vocalist Lee Glantz in the Community Room. He will perform some of Billy Joel's iconic hits of the 70s, 80s and 90s including Piano Man, Uptown Girl, Just the Way You Are, New York State of Mind , Movin' Out, Honesty and She's Always A Woman. He will also share anecdotal stories about Billy Joel's life and music career.

Slide-lecture
"History of the American Women's Rights Movement"
Thursday, May 2 at 6:30 pm

Retired History professor Eugene Lieber presents a slide-lecture focusing on suffragette efforts from colonial evangelical roles to Seneca Falls, NY in the mid-19th century to early 20th century. Feminist activism in the 1960s and 70s to current "me too" movement will also be explored during this overview of the historical peaks of organizing women.

"Italian Opera Favorites"

The Allegro Singers, featuring operatic soprano Liora Michelle and other soloists, will perform beloved arias and duets from such Italian operas as Il Trovatore by Verdi, Madame Butterfly by Puccini and Le Cid by Jules Massenet. Some popular music selections will also be included. The soloists will be accompanied by award-winning pianist Inna Leytush.

"Decorative Spring Banner"
Saturday, May 4 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm

Craft enthusiast Joanne Zascone will teach you how to make a lovely Decorative Spring Banner using felt, buttons, ribbon and a dowling. This is fun craft project for ALL ages, but registration is limited. This banner would be a great Mother's Day gift!
