New CompactPCI Serial Chassis Platforms Announced at Embedded World
Pixus now offers
CompactPCI Serial chassis platforms in various configurations.
The cPCI Serial chassis platforms leverages a vast, modular range of enclosures used in various 3U/6U Eurocard systems. The first in the cPCI Serial line is a 42HP wide (1/2 width of a 19" rackmount) chassis that is 4U high. The CPCIS4VC800 enclosure accept up to 8 slots of 3U boards. CompactPCI Serial backplanes are available in 5 or 8 slots standard, with customized options available.
Ideal for prototyping/development, the standard power supply in the CPCIS4VC800 is a 350W ATX, but other options are offered. Bottom-to-top or front-to-rear cooling configurations are standard.

OpenVPX Development Chassis with Mix of Air and Conduction Cooled Card guides
The Pixus
OpenVPX Development platform features a mix of card guides that allow IEEE 1101.10 air cooled and IEEE 1101.2 conduction cooled boards to be tested in the same enclosure.
The Pixus OpenVPX Development Chassis allows the use of Rear Transition Modules (RTMs) and up to 8 backplane slots at a 1" pitch. Pixus offers various slot sizes and profiles of 3U and 6U OpenVPX backplanes compliant to the VITA 65 specification.
A modular power supply allows various modules for +3.3V, +5V, +/- 12V, auxiliary voltages, and other options to be assembled for the ideal power output for each configuration.
