THANK YOU TO EILEEN FISHER FOR THE GRANT AND FOR YOUR SOCIAL CONSCIOUSNESS!
CCNW is happy to announce that we have received an EILEEN FISHER Community Partnership Grant. This grant will help to fund our popular and highly successful Sewing and Design programs which to date have enabled 9 local women to gain employment.

EILEEN FISHER has recognized the important role grassroots nonprofit organizations play in strengthening local communities in the areas around their headquarters, retail stores and showrooms. The Community Partnerships Grant is their way of funding nonprofits that specifically focus on the needs of their local communities.
DOWLING EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
As we all know, higher education is an important but expensive undertaking.

The Dowling Educational Scholarship program was established to provide support and encouragement to well-qualified and deserving local students whose families turn to the Center for support. The Community Center is proud to help these hard working and dedicated individuals to reach their academic goals.

With your help, we look forward to awarding this year's group of deserving students with scholarships in late May.
Natalie, a scholarship recipient, shares the successes in her life due to the help of generous donors to the Scholarship Fund!

CLARE MURRAY HONORED
On Saturday, March 23rd, State Senator Shelley B. Mayer hosted her 3rd Annual Women's History Month Celebration. This event recognized outstanding women from the 37th Senate District who have made substantial contributions to the community.

We are so proud that our Executive Director, Clare Murray, was selected as one of these amazing women!

Not only was she honored by Senator Mayer for enhancing the well being and vitality of our community, but her achievements were also recognized by NYS Assemblyman David Buchwald, Westchester County Executive George Latimer, Westchester County Legislator Kitley Covill and Congressman Elliot Engel.
THANK YOU TO NWH FOR THEIR OUTREACH
Every month health outreach from Northern Westchester Hospital is provided, free of charge, to our families.

During April, a team of doctors and nurses from NWH came to the Community Center to provide Cancer Awareness education.

Our families were so grateful to visit the medical professionals and receive information and guidance on how to adopt a healthy lifestyle to help prevent certain cancers. Thank you to the doctors and nurses for their time and expertise!
