Consortium members reviewing
the draft plan
Community members are invited to review and comment on the Consortium's Draft Five-Year Strategic Plan through June 15, 2018.  Over the past year, our members worked together to take a fresh look at the Consortium's mission and values, and identify priorities that will guide our work for the next five years. Now we want to hear from you!

The new draft plan renews the Consortium's commitment to providing effective public outreach on a wide variety of water-related issues across the Consortium's tri-county service area. Don't just take our word for it, though. Learn more about our process, review the plan and find instructions for providing comments here
Get (your sprinkler system) ready for summer
A sprinkler sprays in the wrong direction_ watering the street instead of the lawn.
Plan ahead so your sprinklers put water only where you want it.
Warm weather is here! Now is the time to start checking your sprinkler system for peak summer performance. One of the most important things you can do to keep your system operating efficiently is to maintain it. Not sure where to start? Use our checklist and you'll be saving water (and money) in no time.

How well we prepare makes all the difference in how well we bounce back

Map showing potential
shaking and damage from a
Cascadia Subduction Zone
magnitude 9.0 earthquake
A new study by the Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries says a  Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake could injure as many as 27,000 people in the tri-county area. In addition to injuries, it is likely that local water systems and other infrastructure will be severely damaged. It will take some time for emergency supplies (including water) to reach the region. Until help arrives, you will have to rely on your own supply. Learn more here about how to store and treat water for emergencies.

Weekly Watering Number
The Weekly Watering Number takes the guesswork out of
summer watering.
Even though summer watering needs vary from year to year depending on the weather, the Weekly Watering Number can help you plan ahead, by taking the guesswork out of watering. To help people water more efficiently, the Consortium publishes the amount of water, in inches, that lawns and other plants need each week between April and September. Learn how to make the Weekly Watering Number work for you, and   sign up here to receive it by email  each week.
