The impossible looks different to each person in our care. It may be reaching one-month sobriety, healing from past trauma, or reuniting with family. The possibilities are endless.

For one young man it was a good night's sleep.

Jake came to us to develop coping skills to deal with his behavioral health issues. He was making strides but struggled with sleep at night, due in part to his medications. He always felt sluggish and "out of it" because of the lack of sleep.

Thanks to you and your donations, we were able to purchase Jake a weighted blanket, which helped to ease insomnia, reduce anxiety and improve sleep quality. For the first time in Jake's life, he experienced a full night's sleep.

Thanks to restful sleep, Jake's energy is up, he has improved concentration, and he's been able to reduce his medications.

Because of your donations, Jake received the weighted blanket. The impact has been life changing.
Your Monthly Gift Changes Lives
Thank you to our growing list of monthly sustainers! Your gift to Center For Family Services every month makes so much more possible. Because of you, steady support is at the ready to help people in recovery, homeless teenagers, and families in crisis. How is your gift having an impact? In the last month your gift: made bus passes available for people seeking treatment to maintain recovery; provided several movie outings for teens living in our homes; supported the purchase of mattresses, blankets, bedding and pillows for families in need.
Your Birthday Fundraisers
So many of our amazing donors have started birthday fundraisers on Facebook for us this year, and we couldn't be more grateful! Giving Back through Mama & Me Mini Sessions

Thank you, Allison and  Allisonanne Studios .  We are so proud to partner with you for your Focusing on Women: Mama & Me Mini-Sessions charity event on Friday, April 26 & Sunday, April 28. Our friend Stephanie Shillingsford has been donating brand new toiletries, cosmetics, and more once a month! Stephanie, your monthly donations have made it so that teens and families in our safe houses are comfortable and happy while in our care. Thank you!
Fundraising for Survivors
Thank you, Rose Parks, for raising over $500 for Center For Family Services at your event at the Italian Affair in Glassboro.
 
Because of you, more individuals in our community who have experienced domestic violence will have access to counseling, advocacy, and safe housing services. Thank you for bringing friends, family and supporters together for a night of fun and positive impact. We appreciate you all so much!
Recovery is Possible, Thanks to Horizon
Thank you to the Horizon Foundation for New Jersey for enhancing recovery services in our South Jersey community! Your investment in Recovery Corps has expanded a peer recovery support network and created a pathway for people in early recovery to gain valuable skills in a wide variety of recovery support programs. A Sweet Donation

Recreation and Play
Clothing, sneakers, cleats, soccer balls, birthday gifts, holiday gatherings, and cultural celebrations have all been made possible for the children living in our homes thanks to the investment from the Prudential Foundation. The Qrew Volunteers
Special shout out to our 55 Quixote Quest teen volunteers, known as the Qrew, for all you do for our South Jersey community!  We thank those of you pictured in this photo for spending valuable time  with residents at Brightview Assisted Living each weekend, offering stimulating activities and companionship.

An Investment in the Camden Promise Neighborhood
Thank you to the Cooper Foundation and Cooper University Hospital for your support of the Camden Promise Neighborhood. Your investments have strengthened the birth to college and career pathway.  

Because of your involvement, a school based health clinic was opened and now offers daily primary care for preschool and elementary school children; monthly food packs are distributed to more than 1000 preschool - 8th grade children attending neighborhood schools; more than 1,300 backpacks are provided for students prior to the start of schools, and thanks to your programmatic and capital investment, a workforce development program, InDemand, provides Camden Residents with job readiness, job seeking and job keeping skills.

Ready for College Thanks to You!
Thanks to the Wyanoke Children's Support Fund, PowerCorps Camden member Doniqua is starting the next phase of her life prepared and ready to learn.

A Fresh Start
The waiting and group rooms at our Lynn's House site looks like new thanks to the skill and precision of Subaru employee volunteers. Volunteers revived the spaces with a fresh coat of paint that instantly transformed the atmosphere of both rooms. Thank you for not only volunteering your time but also putting your all into the project and painting the rooms flawlessly.
An Impressive 6 Months
AmeriCorps VISTAs serve to support a wide range of programs at Center For Family Services and at partner sites in Camden City, and they have made a serious impact in the past 6 months.
 
VISTAs have increased volunteer impact, service delivery capacity and, not to mention, raised over $850,000 in grant funding. Amazing! Have you or someone you know considered AmeriCorps service? Summer Fun Ahead
Thank you to our friends at Impact Charity Services for planning a summer of educational and enrichment outings for the teens in our care, including a summer fun day for up to 75 kids and weekly small group canoe trips. Thanks for making sure our kids have the chance to experience and enjoy the outdoors at Atsion Park and Pineland Adventures.
 
We also extend a heartfelt thank you to Impact Charity Services for always being there to help people overcome obstacles and move forward. From donations to cover scholarships, to interview clothing, to transportation, and even car repairs, your investment is changing lives. Thank you!

Food Access in the Community
Thank you to our friends at The Two Hawks Foundation for increasing food access for children and families in Camden City through your support of our Qaravana weekend food pack program. Thanks to your investment, our Quixote Quest teen volunteers (as pictured) were able to expand the number of weekend food packs delivered to students at US Wiggins School in the Camden Promise Neighborhood. We are honored to partner with you to increase supports for families in need.
The Word on Sesame Street is Partnership!
Thank you to Sesame Street Workshop for your partnership with Center For Family Services. We feel fortunate to have been selected, alongside Hispanic Family Center of Southern New Jersey, as a Sesame Street in Communities agency! We are so grateful that as result of this amazing partnership, Center For Family Services will be able to connect families with resources and activities designed to help children recover from trauma, promote self-care and resilience, and celebrate  play-based learning, both at home and on the go. And, a huge thank you to Sesame Street Workshop for partnering with us to host a Sesame Street in Communities launch event at US Wiggins School with live performances by Alan, Rosita and Abby Cadabby and photos with Cookie Monster! A fun time was enjoyed by all.
