MPACT SPOTLIGHT - DAEOC
This Community Action Agency serves 6 counties in Southeast Missouri.
With a desire to empower families and make powerful community changes, families are able build and maintain self-sufficiency.
DAEOC provides family, community, housing and children's services.
Children's services include Head Start/Early Head Start and Child & Family Comprehensive Services. Some of the areas that Head Start/Early Head Start support are early intervention for developmental delays, medical/dental/mental health/nutrition/developmental screenings and individualized early childcare and education.
Head Start/Early Head Start offer 3 types of programming. For stay-at-home families, get involved in their Home Based Program where trained professionals offer services in the comfort of the home. For families looking for preschool locations, get involved in their Center Based Program. Center Based locations offer a ratio of 1:4 and serve nutritious meals. Program styles vary based on the child's age.
