Free Meals Available to All NR Students

All students have the opportunity to select a meal for breakfast and lunch free of charge until December 31, 2020 (unless federal funding runs out sooner).  This is available to all students, whether they are remote or in the blended model.

The students who are in school do not have to complete an application to participate in this opportunity.  They just select a meal and allow a member of the Food Service Team to count them for our reimbursement.

For parents/guardians who want to pick up meals for their students learning remotely, we do need parents to notify us a week prior, so that we can be sure to have enough food prepared.  We ask parents who wish to participate in this opportunity to use this link to notify us.  Meals can be picked up on Mondays and Thursdays unless there is a holiday or alteration to the traditional school week.  The hours of operation are between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM at NRHS.

Thanks,
Jeff
Important Notes:

Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT)
Students in 6th grade will be taking the CogAT on Tuesday, October 27 and Wednesday, October 28.  Please click here to read an informational letter about the CogAT.

Students who are on the Remote Learning Team will be taking this assessment on Monday, October 19.  Mrs. Burdick, our Coordinator of Gifted Services emailed you with information pertaining to how the test will be administered.

Life Act
Throughout the year, Life Act will be providing 6th grade health students with a program to help recognize the symptoms of stress and depression.  Life Act's UROK helps children to understand stress, recognize unhealthy reactions to stress such as anxiety, depression or suicide and to know how and where to get help.  Letters will go home with students when they are in health class and will continue to be sent home each academic quarter.
