The 2018-19 Academic Calendar is here!

We're in the St. Patrick's Day Parade!

Tomorrow morning, TACMO schools will be participating for the first time ever in the Visalia St. Patty's Parade. We are "finding our gifts" and "letting our freak flags fly"!

Float riders should be dressed in their "gifts" costume and walkers should wear their school spirit shirt with St. Patty's Day flair!  Green, gold, and rainbow attire is encouraged. Flags and/or balloons will be provided for walkers/marchers.

Come on out to watch the parade and see what we have created for the first ever TACMO parade float.

A permission slip/waiver is required for all participants

A Message From VP Benton

Hey Folks!

Allan here at the SVA Vice Principal's desk. I've had a couple posts in a row that have been pretty academic and thick, so today I just wanted to pass along a simple message of love.

At SVA, we love your kiddos. We love their whole being, faults and flaws included. We love these little humans that will soon enough be in charge of our world. Our hope is that we are able to show you that love through our interactions with, and attention to your scholar. We hope that you feel welcomed as parents and family to be part of this schooling experience with us. We hope to join together to work towards the best outcomes for your child, academically and as a whole human being.

Please know that my door is always open and that I very much appreciate communication from parents, whether it be comments, concerns or compliments. It is through that open communication that we are best able to find the right paths to work with each scholar. I invite you to continue to be part of this experience with your children. You are most welcome here.

Let's have a great last week before Spring Break!

Allan

Family Support

Parent Partnering

It's no accident that our school community feels like an extended family. Rooted in our mission, we are truly "a collaborative community of educators and families working together to help our students grow." Parents, guardians, grandparents, and others are encouraged to come and share their talents or time with us. We encourage each family to make it a goal to give 30 volunteer hours each year.

Volunteer in a Classroom
Our teachers need you! Parents and guardians, grandparents, and interested community members are encouraged to set up a regular time to volunteer in our classrooms! This extra help goes a long way! Volunteer time spent making copies, stuffing home folders, and sorting/filing leaves more time for teachers to prepare lessons and activities for our students.  This community support translates all of the amazing things that we do at our schools.

Will you give an hour of your time to help support learning in your child's classroom? Contact your teacher to set up a time to lend a hand. Thanks in advance for your contribution!
