We are still in need of volunteers for this year's planning committee, specifically in the areas of Finance, Silent Auction, and Live Auction. Committee members do not have to be school families to help...planning is already underway so it would be great to fill these roles as soon as possible! Can you help? Email Andrea Wojcinski.

From the Desk of Ellen Knippel, Principal
Dear Parents,
This is a special time of the year here at school.
This Wednesday, we will have our annual
May Crowning celebration following the
7:45 Mass. We hope for nice weather so we are able to crown our brand new Mary statue for the first time!
On Thursday, we will have our
Spring Concert for all students in 3K - 8th grade. The students have been preparing a variety of songs for your enjoyment. The concert will begin, in church, at
6:30 and will last about an hour. See below for more details.
Friday, May 25th, is
Field Day here at St. Anthony. The entire school will participate in some fun activities in the afternoon. Pray for nice weather! Students will most likely get a little wet during some of the activities, so plan accordingly! We are in need of parent volunteers for the afternoon. If you are available to give us a couple of hours, please use the sign up genius or contact
Jen Kadlec.
Next week at the
Wednesday liturgy (May 30) is the
Passing of the Light ceremony in which we pass the roll of leadership to our 7th graders for the next school year.
8th grade
Graduation will take place on
Thursday, May 31, at 6:30 pm.
Finally, we announce today that Ms. Wagner, our 3K teacher, will be moving to Arizona this summer, therefore leaving our school. We wish Ms. Wagner the best of luck on her journey! Interviews will begin shortly for our open positions.
Blessings!

All-School Spring Concert, May 24th
For the Spring Concert, students should arrive by
6:20. The students will need to sit in the pews to the right and left of the altar, and family can sit in the pews in front of the altar. Students should dress their best, and follow the dress code: i.e. no bare shoulders and beware of hemlines. Boys should be in khakis or dress pants with a button up shirt. Ties are not required.
The Spring Concert will begin at 6:30pm in
church. Be serenaded by charming folk songs, homemade instrumental arrangements, beautiful notes on the recorder, and songs from all over the world including Canada, Brazil, and Africa! The students have been working hard to create a unique experience that showcases their musical interests and creative skills.
Spirit Wear Day, May 25th
This Friday, May 25th, students are encouraged to wear spirit wear with non-uniform bottoms. If your child chooses not to wear spirit wear, they should come in uniform.

We are in need of some parent volunteers to assist the teachers in getting the students to their activities which will begin at 12:30pm and will conclude at 2pm with the GRAND FINALE...8th graders vs. teachers water balloon fight! If you are able to assist that day, please arrive at 12pm. Sign Up to help! Questions? Email Jen Kadlec

PreNatal Vitamins Needed for August Shipment
If you wish to donate PreNatal Vitamins to our sister parish in Peru it would be greatly appreciated. Pregnant mothers who are not able to afford these vitamins experience a greater percentage of delivering a child with a cleft palate among other problems.
SPRING CLEANING?
For every donation to Goodwill, St. Anthony on the Lake's name will be tracked, and the school with the most names will win a visit from Donald Driver! So, get cleaning - and remember to tell them you're from SAL when you drop off!

Families with children in the 5th grade and up are invited to provide milk and desserts and serve dinner to low-income families at the Hope Center on June 20th, 5-7pm. Set up, serve and clean up.

Even though the weather did not exactly cooperate, the 8th graders managed to have a wonderful (and wet) time in Washington D.C.! They graduate from St. Anthony on Thursday of next week.
