It's no secret, people long for a life of meaning, a life that matters for something more than our own personal comfort and temporary success. That meaning comes to us when we finally realize that God Made us for Mission.
Made for Mission, our new worship series, will help unlock the amazing truth that every child of God was Made for Mission. When we surrender our lives to the radical calling of Jesus Christ, who whispers to every heart, "Follow me" suddenly life will be more fun and meaning filled.
The belief that many of us have that only a select few members of Slash Church are called into ministry is the problem. We are all called and Made for Mission. It is time for each of us to surrender our lives to the radical calling of Jesus Christ, who whispers to every heart, "Follow me."
We begin this Sunday with an
examination of the calling of Matthew-the socially outcast tax collector who wasn't on anybody's A-list. If Jesus called Matthew then it is clear that God isn't looking for all-stars, just ordinary people who are willing to join in on an extraordinary mission to change the world through the message of the gospel. That includes you and me!
Together, we will discover the powerful message of God's grace and what it means to share this message throughout every aspect of our lives, wherever God has placed us. One thing this series will make crystal clear is that that no matter where you are in life, whatever career path you have chosen, whatever gifts you think you have (or don't have), God has made each of us unique and has called us to the mission field. Join us on Sundays as we explore the simple truth that we were all Made for Mission.
En Agape',
Michael
