A Community of Values photo cred. S. Goodpastor
Your beliefs become your thoughts, Your thoughts become your words, Your words become your actions, Your actions become your habits, Your habits become your values, Your values become your destiny. -Gandhi
It's
Eastertide, and even though that has liturgical meaning, for many it means that we're moving close to the end of the church year, and with it, summer. I'm certainly looking forward to the slower season of warmth, and vacation plans. Yet the large crowds attending worship on Easter Sunday give us a reminder that there is something going on at UUFD that worth giving our time.
Many times we think about the importance of our programs that draw people. But I've also heard people say it's the people. I believe it's good to remember that each time someone has a positive interaction with another, we build relationship, we make habits, we share values.
At Eastertide, and throughout the year, let our thoughts, words, and actions create the community we love.
How might I practice building relationship?
