It's time to pick a venue for your dream wedding! If we listed all of the amazing venues that we just can't get enough of, this newsletter would be five pages long. From beachfront venues to historic buildings, Hampton Roads is full of incredible locations for your dream wedding day. 

The location you choose for your reception will depend on the ambiance you're trying to achieve, your guest size, and of course, your budget. First tip? Visit the Facebook page and website of the venues that catch your eye and narrow them down to a small list. From there you can set up tours of each locale. 

Questions to Ask Your Wedding Venue

When you're trying to find the perfect wedding venue, it's important to cover all your bases! Style Me Pretty has a great list of questions you should ask your potential wedding venue, including one of the most important: What dates do you have available?

If you have a special date in mind, like an anniversary or holiday weekend, the first step if you love a venue is to check the date. A lot of wedding venues book up to a year or MORE in advance. Before you fall in love, make sure your dream date is available. If you're not tied to a date, and can be flexible, your options may be a bit more open.

Wedding Day Transportation

There are so many gorgeous churches in Hampton Roads for your ceremony. And if you plan to have your ceremony at a church and your reception at another venue, you're going to need transportation! If you have your wedding in the beautiful Colonial Williamsburg, you could use a horse and carriage to get from one place to another. If not, you might need to rent a limo or classic car! Located on the waterfront of Deep Creek Harbor, the Deep Creek Landing Marina is a beautiful, outdoor/indoor venue for your wedding. With stunning water views, your ceremony would take place overlooking the harbor. 

With gorgeous greenery in the ceremony space to an incredible deck space for the reception or cocktail hour, there are plenty of spaces to utilize!
