Creating Comic Characters
Thursday, June 7th. 3:30-5pm

Middle school and high school students are invited to join local graphic novel artist and author, Deb Lucke for a special workshop, Creating Comic Characters. In this workshop, students work on how to make a character who is actually only a drawing or a few words on a page into something that feels alive. Deb Lucke will lead the workshop in fun exercises to invent heroes, villains, and stooges with personalities. Then, we'll explore how these characters might behave under pressure.

Scribbling and doodling is necessary.
This workshop is open to middle school and high school students. This class is free but registration is required as space is limited.
