All are invited to submit hero art, songs, and short films celebrating the best of humanity. Prizes will be awarded for outstanding work by elementary, middle, high school and college students. 
 





The Eva Haller - Women Transforming Media Award - recognizes short films featuring women change makers and women's issues. Cash prizes will be given to student and professional filmmakers for outstanding short films. 

Past honorees include Holocaust survivor and activist Eva Haller and Alyse Nelson, CEO/President and co-founder of Vital Voices Global Partnership.  Learn more about  Women Transforming Media .




World-renowned oceanographer and explorer Sylvia Earle has led more than 70 expeditions and logged more than 6,500 hours underwater. S he is an inspiration to ocean activists everywhere.

This award, sponsored by MacGillivray Freeman Films' One World One Ocean campaign,  honors filmmakers who shine a light on heroes working to protect the world's oceans.

MY HERO celebrates the  life 

The legendary theoretical physicist, cosmologist, bestselling author and Director of Research at the University of Cambridge's Centre for Theoretical Cosmology passed away this month. Hawking was a leader in the study of gravity and the properties of black holes.
