Mayor-Elect Lightfoot Seeks Your Ideas
Pop Over to Lincoln Avenue
Dear Neighbors,

The 18th District has updated their previous alert concerning
recently reported Vehicular Hijackings. The offenders approach the victims, sitting inside or near their vehicle, and announce a robbery. The offenders then demand the victims'
property and take their motor vehicle by threat of force. The offenders are reportedly driving a dark grey colored SUV to facilitate these robberies. During the incident reported under JC225985, the offenders took the victim's vehicle at gunpoint. These incidents are occurring in Beats 1812, and 1814.

  • 2200 block of North Lincoln Ave., Sunday, March 24, 2019 in the evening hours
  • 2200 block of North Lincoln Park West, Sunday, March 24, 2019 in the evening

About the Offenders:
1-4 Males, African-American, 15-25 years old, no further description
What you can do:
  • Always be aware of your surroundings.
  • If confronted by an assailant, remain calm. Remember any unique physical characteristics (scars, tattoos, acne, limps, etc).
  • Call 911 immediately and provide a detailed description of any suspicious people
including any vehicle description and license plate information.

Join Cradles to Crayons to celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 27th. When you clean out your closets and donate children’s essentials to Cradles to Crayons, you’re not only supporting kids in need with the clothing, books, toys, and other items they need to thrive, but you’re also keeping valuable resources from becoming landfill waste.

Items most in need:

  • Clothing (sizes newborn to adult medium)
  • Rain Jackets and Rain Boots (size newborn to adult medium and 10)
  • Sneakers (sizes newborn to adult 10)
  • Toys (ages 0-12 months and 10-12 years)
  • Books (ages 0-2 and 11-12)

Dog Haus Biergarten Lincoln Park, known for their one-of-a-kind gourmet hot dogs, sausages, burgers and fried chicken sandwich, will celebrate their first anniversary on Tuesday, April 30. To commemorate the occasion, the restaurant will offer guests a delicious deal not to be missed!
