Dear parents and families,

During the Lenten season, we fast and abstain in preparation for the Easter season. During Lent, I will include a prayer for this Liturgical season in the beginning of our newsletter to help us all reflect during this time.

God of love,
My prayer is simple:
Your son, Jesus, suffered and died for me.
I know only
that I cannot have real strength
unless I rely on you.
I cannot feel protected
from my many weaknesses
until I turn to you
for forgiveness and your unalterable love.
Help me to share this
strength, protection and love with others.

Although the weather hasn't been feeling much like Spring, our Spring Uniforms did begin yesterday. Please check the school website for uniform specifics.

Lunch orders for April need to be returned prior to Spring Break. The food needs to be ordered and planned ahead of time to ensure our chef is able to plan and purchase accordingly.

Parents, reregistration forms are due. If a class reachers a wait-list (which a few of our classes are close to approaching), we cannot hold your place in the class if another family submits their registration materials. Please do not wait to send the reregistration materials in.

Congratulations to our Advanced Band on their Superior rating at the Diocesan Band Festival this past weekend. All the hard work, hurt fingers, broken reeds, and sore ears paid off. A huge thank you and congratulations to Dr. Little!

The Spanish Honor Society will induct its newest members tomorrow night at 7:00 PM in the school cafeteria. A reception hosted by the Spanish Honor Society will follow.

On Thursday at 10:30 our students will attend our Holy Thursday Prayer Service led by our 8th graders in the school cafeteria. This is a wonderful tradition of thoughtful prayer and reflection for our school which helps to prepare us for Easter.

The third quarter ends April 13th. Please be sure to check the parent portal to stay up to date on your child(ren)'s grades. Following Easter Break, there will not be much time to make up work.

Fr. Drummond invites all St. Michael families to "Come Walk With Me” Night of Prayer -- an evening of spiritual reflection with Irish tenor, Mark Forrest. It will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28th, here at St. Michael. The “Come Walk With Me” evening is a time for us to reflect on our personal relationship with Jesus Christ. During the evening, the blessed sacrament will be exposed and Irish tenor, Mark Forrest will take you through an evening of music, reflection, and healing. Consider taking an hour with the Lord as he invites you to a closer walk with him.

From the entire St. Michael School family to yours, we wish you a happy and blessed Easter Celebration this Sunday. I also pray everyone has a fun and safe Easter Break, and can't wait to see everyone in April!

God bless,

Daniel Cinalli
Principal
