Greetings!

First up, we incorrectly listed the dates for the November Township Trustee meetings in the last email newsletter and on the website - chalk it up to not looking at the calendar correctly when that newsletter was written. The November Trustee meetings are on Monday November 14 at 7 p.m. and Monday November 28 at 7 p.m. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused. Meetings are on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month, unless a holiday interferes with that schedule.

Second, and very important; we want to express our sincere thanks to every resident and business owner who took time to write a letter or send a postcard regarding the $16.5 million that we are asking ODOT to keep and use at the current exit. Please see the article below for a summary of the situation.

Respectfully,

Rod Myers, Bill Holtry and Mike Dattilo, Township Trustees

Park Meeting Thurs. Nov. 10 7 p.m.
Your township wants to see this park become a reality, and we need more residents to be involved to be "visioneers."

The next meeting will be Thursday, November 10th at 7:00 p.m. at the township hall. We're asking participants to do some research, in person or online about shelter structures and natural playground concepts. Visit other local parks, take photos, get pricing ideas and come prepared to form committees with specific interests to kick-off our plans.

If you have neighbors or friends who might be interested, please have them contact Berkshire.Shawna@gmail.com
or just bring them along on the 10th.
We have the most awesome residents!
The trustees would like to express their sincere thanks to the hundreds of residents and business owners for answering the call to let us (and other officials) know how you felt about using the money earmarked for improvements at the current interchange AT the current interchange.

Your response was phenomenal. We received more than 500 postcards and letters, representing more than 700 individuals who want to see improvements at I-71 and 36/37 before the $16.5 million generated by the Tanger Outlet Mall is used elsewhere.

Rod Myers, Mike Dattilo and Jeff George attended the ODOT/TRAC meeting on October 13th, and Trustee Myers was actually invited to speak (an exception to the norm at such meetings) to present your input and reiterate the township's objections to the money being taken for use at a proposed new exit.

ODOT/TRAC reviewed several other applications for large projects in District 6 at this meeting. Competition is stiff for funding dollars. Some of the other projects involved improvements near large industries and businesses such as Honda America, Scott's Marysville, Hospitals, etc.; existing business with 1000's of jobs and workers impacted, which would likely impact how the south exit proposal is "ranked" in order of importance.

Officals indicated another TRAC meeting would be held in the future to which residents will be invited to attend and share. We will be sure to keep you informed on this issue.
