What's happening

The Computer Lab has been busy with members working on CODE.ORG! This website offers exciting coding and programming applications for most age groups and skill levels. Members fill the Computer Lab on Thursdays when it's X-BOX tournament time! Virtual reality games continue to be a favorite activity in the Computer Lab!

The Games Room continues to offer daily tournaments. Members love to compete for prizes in bumper pool, air hockey, carpet ball, and foosball.

Members in the Art Room worked hard on their annual Children Against Child Abuse Safe Home Art Projects. This was a great opportunity for our members to work with A Safe Place Nantucket. Our members created homes that demonstrated their idea of a safe home and a safe living environment.

The Learning Center is one of the busiest areas in the Club during Power Hour. Members are working to earn their spot at the next Power Hour party on Friday, May 18th. The Learning Center is the place to be from 4:00-5:00 for members participating in the 5th Annual Whitlock Writing Contest. This year's genre is Adventure and the first place prize is $100!

Members are enjoying the great weather! Outside activities draw a large number of members. Soccer, football, gaga, and 4 square are only a few of the activities played outside. Many members enjoy just hanging out with their friends and soaking up the sunshine.

The Teen Room offers daily activities for our older members. You can find many of our teen members playing pool, X-BOX, Just Dance, corn hole, board games, and MUCH more! Teen Culinary club continues to be a popular activity with this group. Thursday night Teen Nights consists of Man Hunt field trips to Dead Horse Valley, basketball, and soccer in the gym. On Friday, May 18th we will have a photo booth and glow in the dark disc golf! Don't miss out on an awesome Teen Night! Saturday, May 19th is the last Teen Night of the school year.

Another House of Champions Boxing Show is in the books and we would like to thank all that participated. Special thanks goes out to TJ Grant & Lorna Dollery, who helped train our members and worked the corners during the show.  We would also like to thank all the volunteers we had this school season.  Without you, none of these programs would be possible.
