Tickets are Available for The Arc Dane County's Annual Halloween Dance!

$5.00 for The Arc-Dane County Members $10.00 for Non-members
  • Tickets must be preordered by October 19th
  • The ticket includes:
    • admission
    • dancing
    • snacks, a drink, pizza
    • participation in the costume contest

Wings for All®
Saturday, October 20,

Dane County Regional Airport

Wings for All® is an airport rehearsal program for individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability (I/DD) who have either never flown before or who have had difficulties with a flight experience. 
  • This event is free for all participants
  • Online registration is required
  • Parking vouchers will be provided. 
  • Participants must arrange their own transportation to and from the airport. 
  • Only a few slots left!

DHS Wants Wisconsin to Avoid a Serious, Deadly Flu Season This Year:
Protect your family and community-
get a flu shot

The flu shot can help prevent the flu, and greatly reduce symptoms if you do get it, shortening time away from work or school.



Here simple steps to help you avoid spreading the flu:

Wash your hands often with soap and water, or use hand sanitizer.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cover your cough or sneeze with your upper sleeve.  Avoid touching your face with your hand. Throw away tissue after one use

Use your own drinking cups and straws.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Try to stay away from people who are sick.

Eat nutritious meals.  Get plenty of rest & sleep.  Do not smoke.

Frequently clean surfaces (e.g., doorknobs, refrigerator handle, telephone, faucets).

 

 

 

   

 

If you're sick, stay home, rest, drink plenty of liquids.  Avoid using alcohol and tobacco.

This session will cover how to use the Self-Directed Health Care Kit . This kit is designed to help individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities (I/DD) advocate for their own health care and support clear communication between the individual and their health care practitioners. The kit includes a set of forms for tracking health care concerns and interventions. It has also been designed to help the person in a supportive role to help advocate for the individual and enhance the interaction between the individual and the health care practitioner.
