V-Day New Brunswick: The Vagina Monologues
On February 23, join Dina's Dwellings for an all-female production of Eve Ensler’s powerful interview-based play, The Vagina Monologues. This production is part of a global series of events recognizing 20 years of the movement to end violence against all women and girls.

This 75-minute performance will be followed by a panel discussion with some of the foremost leaders in Middlesex county’s movement against violence towards women and children.

Dina's Dwellings Promotes Brighter Futures at 'Kids Day'
Clouds can be overwhelming. So can feelings and traumatic experiences. During our Kids Day events, our resident children and their friends have an opportunity to express their feelings and learn to hope for brighter futures. Because of the safe housing here at Dina's Dwellings, they are able to imagine colorful sunsets.

“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.” ― Rabindranath Tagore, Stray Birds
Sophie's Bistro Supports Dina's Dwellings in Annual Holiday Drive
Thank you to our friends over at Sophie's Bistro in Somerset for continuing their generous support of our residents during the holiday season.

For more than three years, Sophie's Bistro opens its doors from the middle of November to December for supplies, gifts, and other donations that support the residents at Dina's Dwellings.

But it's personal for Debbie Maddock, restaurant manager at Sophie's Bistro. For her, helping survivors of domestic violence and their children is particularly profound.

"I was one of these women and it was an absolutely terrifying point in my life. But I was lucky and escaped that horrible relationship," Maddock said upon her appeal to customers to donate.

"I started volunteering for Dina’s Dwellings and it is absolutely amazing what they have been doing for women in such desperate situations," Maddock said.

"We rely on our community partners to support our residents," said the Rev. Susan Kramer-Mills, executive director of Town Clock CDC, which oversees Dina's Dwellings.

"We are so thankful for Debbie and Sophie's Bistro for their ongoing support," Rev. Kramer-Mills said. "There's no describing how important they are to the families here."
