A Quilt To Fall In Love With!
 "Two Half" & To Hold
screams wedding quilt or a favorite for heart and log cabin quilt lovers! It was designed by Raggedy Ruth Designs™ to highlight BOTH the Bride's and Groom's favorite colors. Each Heart and Log Cabin Block alternates with half of the Bride's color and half the Groom's color. This theme carries on to the pieced triangular edging.
The effect is accomplished by using four shades of each of the two colors [the bride's and the groom's] in making the Log Cabin Blocks. These Log Cabin Blocks are the basis for the hearts as well as the alternate blocks.
The curved sections of the hearts (using the very dark [DK] fabrics listed on the Fabric Requirements) are appliqued and then pieced onto the hearts' Log Cabin sections. Ruth has supplied a template in the pattern to be used to create the properly curved heart portions and uses a neat gathering trick to evenly fold the curved edge underneath.
A coordinating digitized longarming design of hearts to be used as either an E2E or Custom quilting project is available and was used to create this sample.
