Rake a Difference for a Hennepin Friend!
Help a Hennepin Friend by raking their yard. Many seniors try to accomplish this work on their own, but wouldn't this be a great way to be a blessing to either a neighbor or one of the seniors in our Hennepin community? If you can help, please email Lynne Carroll at lynne@haumc.org and we will get you matched up with a member in need. Thank you for showing compassion and being a blessing to others!
Library Corner
We are adding a fun, new feature to our newsletter! Check this section every week for ideas and resources to help support parents as you walk in faith with your kids.

Dozens of new books have been added to the children's section of our library. You may browse the library catalog at www.LibraryThing.com/catalog/HAUMC, and then curbside pickup can be scheduled by emailing your selections to library@haumc.org.

This week's featured new book is, a kids book about racism. A clear explanation of what racism is and how to know when you see it.

Yes, this really is a kids book about racism. Inside, you’ll find a clear description of what racism is, how it makes people feel when they experience it, and how to spot it when it happens.

This is one conversation that’s never too early to start, and this book was written to be an introduction for kids on the topic.
Pumpkin Carving Contest
On Sunday, October 25 @ 2pm, we are hosting a pumpkin carving party for families with kids in 5th, 6th & 7th grade. Please RSVP by emailing Lynne Carroll at lynne@haumc.org. We'll provide the pumpkins and carving kits, you provide the creativity. Pumpkins will be judged and prizes awarded at Trunk-or-Treat on October 30th!
