New Experimental Sunday Morning Schedule
Beginning June 10

Starting the  second Sunday in  June,  we will begin an experimental schedule for Sunday morning that will be evaluated for reconsideration in November.  The Church Council approved this experiment at their May 7 meeting, after inviting the congregation to share ideas in four open congregational meetings.  The Sunday morning schedule will be as follows:

Worship:
8:00 a.m.  featuring the old songs
Chapel
9:00 a.m.  Traditional/Blended worship
Sanctuary
10:30 a.m.  Contemporary worship
Worship Center (old fellowship hall)

Fellowship:
7:30--10:30  Fellowship Cafe in Narthex
(no change from current fellowship cafe)

7:00--10:00  Breakfast served in Worship Center (old fellowship hall)

Sunday School
Existing Sunday School classes and short term courses will be offered at various times, to be announced in the next two or three weeks. Most groups will meet at either 9:15 a.m., (for people attending the 10:30 worship) or after the traditional/blended worship service (10:10 a.m.)  Classes will also have the option of meeting at 8 a.m.  As soon as classes  notify  us of the times they will meet, we will publish that information.

We will be organizing people in the next two weeks to help us launch this experiment.  Our new needs are for people at the door (on 16th Street), greeting at the entrance to our worship services, ushering, and helping with the breakfast in the worship center.  We will continue to need people to help with the fellowship cafe, the Audio/Visual desks, clean-up, and music.

2018 Graduates

We are preparing to put the names of graduates in the May 20th bulletin.  If you have a family member that you would like in the insert, please email the office or get an information sheet off of the Welcome Desk.  If you have a picture, please add that also.  Information will be needed by May 16.  Please include name, school, relationship to you and plans for the future.

Missouri Botanical Gardens May 19

There are still  spots left for anyone who would like to join 2nd Wind on Saturday, May 19.  The van leaves at 8:00 a.m.  Lunch will be at the Sassafras.  Click here to check out the Botanical Garden website!  $20 per person (only includes transportation and admission)  Please sign-up at the Welcome Desk or call the church office, 217-235-5676.

Thank You!

We would like to thank our church family for the many acts of kindness shown to us during Cheri's recent illness.  Thank you for all the prayers, cards, words of encouragement, and the generous donations.  May God bless each of you. Please continue to pray.
