Worship on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

 Greetings!
Testimony
In these final days of the Easter season, we hear from Jesus' long (and kind of rambling) prayer to his disciples in the gospel of John. But the rambling is purposeful. Jesus is offering a prayer, but also a testimony, and giving them the words - and the Word - that will sustain them when he has departed their presence in the flesh.

What words of faith do we share on repeat? What testimony will sustain and expand the reign of God in Christ in this time and place?

See you Sunday,
Pastor Michael

Sharing Faith at Home
Morning Prayer:
Gracious God, in the resurrection of your Son Jesus Christ, you have given us eternal life and glorified your name in all the world. Refresh our souls with the living streams of your truth, that in our unity, your joy may be complete. Amen.
Evening Prayer:
Creator of the universe, you made the world in beauty, and restore all things in glory through the victory of Jesus Christ. We pray that, wherever your image is still disfigured by poverty, sickness, selfishness, war and greed, the new creation in Jesus Christ may appear in justice, love, and peace, to the glory of your name. Amen.
Prayer with Children: Dear God, when Jesus prayed fro his friends, he prayed that they would be "one," like you and Jesus are one. That means a closeness and love that only can exist in you! Bring us closer in love to all. Thank you Jesus! Amen.
In our prayers:
Dick, Ashley, Sue, Debbie, Pam, Dan, Ione, Belita, Tom, Velda, Paul, Ina, Seth, Kendra, Patrick, Eric, Nikki, Jennifer, Linda, Gene, Gloria, Monroe, John and Sharon, Jinny, Beck, Alan, Bob, Dennis, Don, Howard, Richard, Jody. We also pray for our bishops, Elizabeth and Wayne.

We will meet one week earlier this month for our poetry discussion in the Cafe (below the sanctuary) this month. This time we will be looking at 2 poems our leader Ralph has written. Bring a sandwich and join us for a great discussion. Ralph will bring Dessert.
Ebenezer Refugee Support
Ebenezer’s support group works with newly arrived refugees in the Rogers Park and Edgewater area. Sponsoring agencies offer a minimum of initial help when families first arrive. Ebenezer’s group works to fill the gap until families are self-supporting. To see a list of items needed and sign up to donate them, click here. Check back periodically. The list is updated as families’ needs change. Cash donations can be made out to Ebenezer Lutheran Church with the notation of Refugee Fund on the memo line. Questions can be directed to  Jackie Wood or text at 773-484-3923. or call Norm Dynneson at 773-218-8729

To learn more, visit the Facebook Page for the group here. Or, contact Norm D.

The annual Wellness Screening is approaching. This year the testing will be done at your convenience at any of several Quest Labs beginning in May and continuing until June 9 th. The follow-up event for discussing your results will be Saturday, June 23 at 10 a.m. at Ebenezer.

system. Allison will discuss ways to submit your payment.
  • Have screening tests done at Quest no later than June 9.

Facilities Feedback
Ebenezer's facilities are busier than ever, which is both a gift and a challenge! To help us understand areas where cleaning and repair could be improved, you are invited to use this form to provide feedback to Jesse, our sexton. This is a more reliable method than verbal reports to staff or volunteers on Sundays, when our focus in on worship. Please let us know how we can continue to make Ebenezer a place of hospitality for all! The link is also available at any time at the Ebenezer Facilities webpage.
