EAST LANSING, Mich. - Sara Dolan, Chief Financial Officer of MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU), received the Great Place to Work For® All Leadership Award, recognizing women leaders from companies in FORTUNE's annual list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For and Best Workplaces for Women. Winners were honored at a gala dinner on March 7, 2018 during Women's History Month.
"Sara leads with confidence and is dedicated to the Credit Union: both its members and its employees," said April Clobes, MSUFCU's CEO/President. "She has played an instrumental role in our growth through her leadership, innovation, and commitment, and she continues to help propel us towards a promising future."
Employee development is a core focus for Dolan, shown in interactions between her and her teams and unique projects she has spearheaded at the organization. In 2017, Dolan created the Ignite Innovation Competition, an incentive program inviting employees to submit strategic project proposals to help the Credit Union enhance its products, services, and processes to meet business objectives. She has also executed strategies aimed to create more efficient workflows for employees, enhancing their work experiences.

Understanding how these connections created an environment of opportunity for me, I hope to instill that same support in all with whom I interact."
MSUFCU has a national reputation for excellence and has received several top industry and workplace awards. For the sixth year in a row, MSUFCU was named as a Top Workplace in the large employer category by the Detroit Free Press. Last year, it was also recognized as one of CU Journal's Best Credit Unions to Work For, a Best Workplace for Women by Fortune Magazine, and Outstanding Credit Union of the Year by the Michigan Credit Union League.
MSUFCU has also been nationally recognized for its financial education initiatives, ranking first in Michigan and second in the nation for the 2017 Alphonse Desjardins Adult Financial Education award by the Credit Union National Association and fifth in nation for youth financial education in 2016 by the National Youth Involvement Board.
