Dr. Martin Luther King's Legacy Celebrated Through Engaging Curriculum

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King's legacy and Junior Achievement of South Florida's 60th Anniversary, 60 volunteers were recruited to teach JA's hands-on, engaging JA More Than Money curriculum  during the week of January 14-18. 

More than 500 3rd-5th graders from Martin Luther King Elementary, Charles Drew Elementary,  Dillard Elementary School  and Markham Elementary were introduced financial literacy and entrepreneurship concepts that help them learn a practical approach to managing money and starting a business.

Board Members on the Move

Junior Achievement of South Florida would like to congratulate two of our Board Members for their recent accomplishments!

Kathy Foster was named Senior Vice President of Business Development and Innovation, as well as appointed to the Executive Committee at Bluegreen Vacations. At JA, Kathy serves as the Chair of the Programs Committee and a member of the Executive Committee.

Andrew Koenig was appointed as the President of City Furniture. Andrew's entrepreneurial knowledge and mindset makes him the perfect Chair of JA's Innovative Initiatives committee and Executive Committee.
