Boys and Girls Basketball Headed to 1A East Region Tournament!
Both Charger Varsity Basketball teams were rewarded for successful regular seasons by earning bids to the 1A East Region Tournament in Fort Thomas on 1/29. The full bracket can be viewed here:
All games will be played at Fort Thomas High School (15502 US-70, Pima, AZ 85543)
A youthful Chargers girls team has put together one of the highest win totals in recent history, and finished the region slate with a 4-3 record. A tiebreaker puts them at the #4 seed, and they will have to go up against #1 and host, Fort Thomas in a 2:30pm semi.
The #3 seeded boys get a rematch with #2 Ray, who came into "The Marley" last Friday and walked out with a 50-32 win. A poor shooting night let the Chargers down, as they played without key post players Shawn Baker and Brennan Weir. The Chargers hope to return to full strength as they take on the Bearcats at 4:oopm Tuesday.
There will be an admission charge at Fort Thomas. Semifinal winners will return to Fort Thomas Thursday, for the east region tournament championship,

Go Chargers!
CarLife Charger of the Week (1/21-1/27)
Brandon Small-Soccer
Brandon has captained a Charger Varsity Soccer team that has dealt with a lot of adversity and lack of results this season. Has has played multiple positions and unselfishly does whatever the team and coaches require or ask of him. Brandon displays a strong work ethic in practice is is not afraid to step in as a leader to make tough decisions or pick the team up. In a stretch of three tough games vs. very good compeitition last week, Brandon displayed all of these qualities, setting a positive example for younger players in our program. Congratulations Brandon!
