To help ensure the continued health and safety of our campus community, Idaho State University has adjusted the Spring 2021 schedule, most notably by moving spring break.
Spring semester classes will begin as originally scheduled on Monday, January 11. The last day of instruction will be April 23, and spring break will be held April 26 - 30. Following spring break, there will be one week of online/distance-based exams, eliminating the need for most students to return to campus. However, due to the requirement for hands-on testing in certain courses, some programs may need to hold in-person final examinations. Approval is granted using the health exception process, similar to this Fall 2020 semester, and requires safety guidelines be in place.
The Spring 2021 semester will end on its regularly scheduled date of May 7.
As originally planned, no classes will be held on Monday, January 18, for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day / Human Rights Holiday and Monday, February 15, for Presidents’ Day. The revised schedule has no impact on federal financial aid or accreditation requirements. The COVID-19 situation continues to be fluid. As such, the University will be ready with operational plans to transition to distance-based instruction if the need arises.
