Journalist, historian, and native of Los Altos, Robin Chapman, tells the story of the Bay Area with perspectives from six visionaries:

Come celebrate Year of the Pig 🐖 with the Chinese Historical and Cultural Project (CHCP). You won’t want to miss this family event!

Festivities include:
  • lion dancing
  • Chinese music
  • children’s crafts
  • storytelling
  • film screening of Finding Samuel Lowe

The film screening is possible in part by Silicon Valley Reads 2019 : Finding Identity in Family History .

This documentary is about an African American family that discovers its Chinese ancestry:

With the support of her brothers and the help of encouraging strangers, Paula eventually pieced together the full story of her grandfather's life, following his story from China to Jamaica and back, and connecting with 300 surprised relatives who were overjoyed to meet her.

Transportation:
VTA Bus lines 25 and 73 stop half a block from the museum.
