SEF Awards Spring 2018 Grants
The Summit Educational Foundation is pleased to announce our grant awards for the 2018 spring grant cycle. With generous support from our member families, the Foundation was able to approve funding for 42 grants, totaling over $285,000. The District, Primary, Elementary, Middle, and High School levels received grants totaling $17,399, $14,762, $159,650, $8,297, and $85,852, respectively.
A sampling of approved grants includes:
- Coding and Robotics program at all five Elementary Schools, $71,711
- "Battle of the Books" program at all five Elementary Schools, $5,625
- Responsive Classroom Training for teachers at Wilson and Jefferson Primary Centers, $8,748
- Extended Day Program for 1st-5th grade learning workshop students at Brayton Elementary School, $11,376
- Classroom virtual reality tools for 5th grade at Franklin Elementary School, $3,298
- TREP$ entrepreneurial program for 5th grade at Washington School, $1,380
- "Make the Space" STEAM center at Jefferson Elementary School, $4,468
- Nonfiction leveled library for 2nd grade at Lincoln-Hubbard Elementary School, $3,260
- Learning Ally program at LCJSMS, $8,297
- Virtual High School program at Summit High School, $11,250
- Electric String Quintet at Summit High School, $12,924
- Lighting Equipment for Summit High School auditorium, $6,904
- Probeware upgrade for AP Physics program at Summit High School, $4,694
