Olympic Champions

Chile, Australia, and several other countries faced off during the annual LPA elementary field day. Elementary grade level teams, led by secondary students, adopted country names and competed in Olympic-inspired games. After the games and a potluck dinner, parents and their students competed in the first Lake Pointe All-Sport Golf battle; congratulations to the Burchfields who came in first place!

Fine Arts Night 
From drawings and paintings to music and  choreography,  a rt students displayed glimpses of God's creativity Thursday evening at Fine Arts NIght. 



Dress Standard Revision Review
Wednesday afternoon, LPA's board president Mrs. Melody Miller led a discussion with secondary students, parents, and staff surrounding the dress standard revision for the upcoming school year. 

Donation Opportunity
For anyone who has an old wooden ladder taking up space, Lake Pointe is looking for two to four wooden ladders to be donated to the school for a display.

Lost and Found
Be sure to stop in Lake Pointe to look for your family's missing items. At the end of the semester, anything left will be donated to a local charity.

Roman Party
The 8th grade Latin class celebrated their accomplishment on the National Latin Test by having a Roman themed party.




The Math, Literature, and 
Science of Food
Second graders applied their lessons to making sweet treats. Inspired by the book Thunder Cake by Patricia Polacco and their study of capacity in math, they learned how to read a recipe and measure ingredients to make a cake. Later in the week, the students continued to practice their measuring abilities and studied how matter changes through making homemade ice cream.









Historical Characters
Third grade students dressed up as their favorite historical characters from their studies this year. As these characters, the students shared their most interesting facts and their major accomplishments.



Outdoor Script Reading
Mrs. Williams' 11th grade lit class went outside to read the Crucible, a play by Arthur Miller.


Celebrating the Seasons
Coaches, parents, and student athletes celebrated all the accomplishments and hard work of the 2017-2018 seasons at the annual Athletic Award Ceremony. Preparing seniors for their next chapter of life, coaches ended the night with praying over the senior players.
