In and around the classrooms
Roman Party
The 8th grade Latin class celebrated their accomplishment on the National Latin Test by having a Roman themed party.
The Math, Literature, and
Science of Food
Second graders applied their lessons to making sweet treats. Inspired by the book Thunder Cake by Patricia Polacco and their study of capacity in math, they learned how to read a recipe and measure ingredients to make a cake. Later in the week, the students continued to practice their measuring abilities and studied how matter changes through making homemade ice cream.
Historical Characters
Third grade students dressed up as their favorite historical characters from their studies this year. As these characters, the students shared their most interesting facts and their major accomplishments.
Outdoor Script Reading
Mrs. Williams' 11th grade lit class went outside to read the Crucible, a play by Arthur Miller.
