Dear Future Energy Student,

Congratulations and welcome to the Energy family!  You have been selected to be part of the Energy Institute High School Class of 2022.  You are making history by joining the first energy high school in the nation!

It is an exciting time at Energy!  This July we will move into our state of the art facility at 3501 Southmore Boulevard and will finally be at our permanent location! We again received the top school award by Magnet Schools of America, being named a Magnet School of Excellence and our MIT InvenTeam was one of 15 schools across the nation to receive the Lemelson-MIT InvenTeams $10,000 grant to develop a device to prevent biodiesel from gelling at low temperatures.   

By joining the Energy family, you are embarking on a non-traditional learning adventure unlike any other in the country.  It is our mission to develop student leaders who not only excel in academics but also master the skills necessary to be successful in today's global economy.  Through our unique implementation of project based learning, our dedication to technology integration, and direct industry exposure through corporate partnerships, we are revolutionizing the way we prepare you for your future.

Once at Energy, expect to interact on a personal level with leading industry professionals, attend site visits to cutting edge engineering facilities throughout Texas, represent Energy at industry conferences typically reserved for professionals, become a leader of one of our 20 student clubs and organizations, and work with peers to develop creative solutions to real world problems -- but above all, get excited to find your passion at Energy.

Are you ready to jump start your future?  Officially accept your spot at Energy by completing the following tasks:  
  1. Accept your seat by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018, through HISDChoice.
  2. Return the HISD Entrance Agreement (in person, by mail, or via email) by Friday, April 6, 2018.
  3. Address verification as evidence by a current utility bill with updated address (in person, by mail, or via email) by Friday, April 6, 2018.
  4. Celebrate your acceptance with us at Signing Day April 4th from 6:00pm - 7:30pm at the new campus, 3501 Southmore Boulevard.
  5. Attend one of the registration dates to meet with a dean (dates to be announced).

Join us for Signing Night!
Please join us for Energy's Signing Night, Wednesday, April 4th from 6-7:30 pm at our new campus, 3501 Southmore Boulevard. Families will have the opportunity to tour the new state of the art facility, meet with current students and staff, sign the Class of 2022 banner, and receive their first Energy t-shirt.
