Welcome 2018! It is with great pleasure, and gratitude that I am the new editor of the ABPM resident newsletter. I would like to thank Dr. Melissa Lockwood for a seamless transition, and for her hard work and dedication as editor for the past two years.

A new year allows for fresh beginnings! As residents, you are challenged academically and professionally, and it is always a great idea to set new goals for the year ahead. Whether you a first, second, third year or fourth year your priorities are different and ABPM is here to help. You may even be thinking about a fellowship...be sure to read the article in this issue.

ABPM is excited to expand our Speaker's Bureau in 2018, and extend to residents educational opportunities and involvement with our organization. We have upgraded the ABPM APP to allow access to exam type questions, reference ranges, and testing information, including up-to-date push notifications. ABPM will be present at many conferences and meetings throughout the year to help familiarize you with our ongoing mission, feel free to introduce yourself. Our staff is always available to answer any questions you may have.
