News for Living, Working and Playing in Deerfield Township
Share your feedback at ODOT's US 22 Corridor Open House May 15.

The Ohio Department of Transportation will host an open house on Tuesday, May 15, to seek input about several roadway enhancements being considered to improve traffic and safety at the intersection of US 22 and Creek Woods Place/Old 3C Highway. The alternatives under review include constructing a single lane roundabout, restricting the use of left turns during peak hours and adding a traffic signal.

The open house will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at Deerfield Township Fire Station 57. Project representatives will be available for the entire two-hour time period to explain alternatives, hear comments and answer questions. Parking is available in the lot adjacent to the building. Those who cannot attend may also email comments to Keith Smith, environmental project manager, at keith.smith@dot.ohio.gov by June 1.

More details and a downloadable comment form are available on  our website.

A portion of Socialville-Fosters Road will be closed from May 14 to 16.
Portion of Socialville-Fosters Road to Close Next Week

Socialville-Fosters Road will be closed between Stablegate Lane and the Old 3C Highway beginning Monday, May 14, through Wednesday, May 16, weather permitting. The closure will allow for drilling related to the design of a future retaining wall. A detour will be posted using Landen Drive, US 22/SR 3 and the Old 3C Highway.

Drivers are encouraged to slow down and use extra caution when traveling through and around active work zones. For up-to-date advisories about roadway projects throughout Warren County, check out the Warren County Engineer's website.

Our Public Works team helped excavate for a Habitat for Humanity house.
Public Works Team Goes the Extra Mile

The members of our Public Works team maintain more than 220 miles of roadway in the township each year. But, they also find time to improve our community in other ways.

Recently, our crews assisted in ditch excavation that will literally lay the groundwork for construction of a new Habitat for Humanity home in the township's Loveland Park neighborhood.

Since 1986, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati has built, renovated or repaired more than 600 homes throughout the Tristate. For more information, visit their website

Deerfield Township hosts archery, tech and arts camps throughout the summer.
Limited Spots Remain for Summer Specialty Camps

For many children, the countdown to the end of the school year is on! But, thanks to our partners at Gold Medal Archery, iDaP Academy and the Arts Alliance, Deerfield Township provides a number of options that ensure your children keep learning all summer long ... while making new friends and having fun.

A limited number of spots remain for each of our summer specialty camps:

Explore Archery: Do you have kids ages 10 to 15 who love The Hunger Games, Brave or The Avengers? They can hone the archery skills they see in those films during our target archery camp, which takes place June 25 to 29 at the new Carter Park Archery Range. All skill levels are welcome, and all equipment is provided.

Tech Camps: Does your child love all things tech? Campers ages 5 to 16 can level up their skills this summer while making some amazing games or videos to keep. From robotics to stop motion animation, there's a topic for every interest. These camps welcome young people ages 5 to 16.

Arts Camps: Imagination is the only limit for the participants of our visual and performing arts camps. From songwriting to playwriting, painting to sewing, children entering kindergarten through eighth grade can ignite their creativity in these half-day camps.
