Boulevard Friday Flyer

Dear Boulevard Families,
With the school year still in full session, I find it hard to believe that the teachers and I will soon begin the process of planning classes for 2018-2019. During this process, we consider the learning strengths and needs of each child, as well as his or her social and emotional maturity, to create cohorts that reflect the rich diversity of our community.
If you feel there is additional information that you would like us to consider in making your child’s placement, we certainly welcome your input. The class placement information form is now posted on Boulevard’s website at Shaker.org.
While the form is purely optional, if you choose to provide additional information regarding your child’s interests, learning style and personality, please return the form to the office on or before Friday, May 25th. While we value your insights, we ask that you please refrain from requesting a specific teacher as such requests make it difficult to meet the needs of every student.
In closing, I would like to invite you all to Boulevard’s final PTO meeting of the school year on Wednesday, May 16th. Hope to see you there!
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend!

Summer Construction Projects at Boulevard
There are several construction projects at our schools from June 7-August 17. Please be aware that there will be limited parking at the schools while the construction workers are on site.
Please note the following construction projects at Boulevard:
ADA access improvements
Add a security vestibule
Repair slate roof
Repair the foundation
Also, we expect congestion in and around the High School Oval as the following parking lots will be closed for the summer construction period:
High School south parking lot
High School north parking lot
Please plan accordingly if you’ll be visiting or picking up/dropping off students at the High School. We suggest budgeting an extra 10 minutes for walking from your car to a building. The Administration Building lot will be restricted to building users only.
During the construction period, the SELF and Shaker Heights City Summer Recreation Programs will run according to schedule in the respective buildings. Walk-in routes to the buildings will be identified. Participants and employees should plan accordingly to gain access to the buildings.
