Superintendent's Message January 25, 2019
x
Dear FHUSD Families and Friends,
A group of district representativesattended the recent Fountain Hills State of the Town breakfast highlighted by a speech from new Mayor Ginny Dickey. FHUSD was represented at this event by Governing Board President Jill Reed and Vice President Dr. Wendy Barnard. In addition, FHHS students Andrew O'Neil and Anna Nichols, school principals Val Dehombreux and James Carrick, Instructional Support Director Allison Barbor and myself from the district office also attended.
We sincerely appreciated the references to education and schools in the Mayor's speech. Mayor Dickey referenced the positive relationships between education and the growth of business opportunities for the town. She also commented how local schools are literally the future of Fountain Hills. I certainly echo these views and believe a strong school system is a vital component of a vibrant local community.
The FHUSD community will continue to strive to play an important role in what the mayor calls the "home town experiences" that are the hallmarks of Fountain Hills. While the district mission is to "achieve and celebrate academic excellence," we also aim to be a collaborative partner with the town and do our part to contribute to the optimistic vision of the future shared by the town leadership.
Regards,
Rob Allen, Ed.D.
Superintendent
