Greetings, I hope this letter finds you well as we get closer to wrapping up another wonderful school year here at MCS. It feels as if this year has flown by quickly as we complete the last few weeks of school and welcome the transition into summer. It has been both an honor and pleasure to watch your children grow spiritually, emotionally, and academically under the leadership and direction of our talented MCS teachers.

As you know, in all things, MCS faculty and staff are committed to prayer and following God's leading as we start to make plans for the next school year. I would like to take this opportunity to discuss the process for class placement. I know how exciting it is to think about your child's teacher for next year, we join you in that excitement! Please know, class placement is a collaborative and detailed process fully covered in prayer. Our philosophy is to build classes where children can be successful spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally. We consider a variety of factors when creating classes and strive to create the best fit and match for each student. In short, we seek to balance classes academically, socially, and by gender.

In order for this process to be successful, we cannot accept requests for specific teachers. However, as a team we deeply value your perspective. We invite you to share your child's learning style, desired classroom environment, and teacher characteristics that you believe will help your child be successful next year. The process of providing this information can be done via email to my Administrative Assistant, Dianne McVay, at [email protected] by June 15th. Please understand that I will not be able to accept email requests with a specific teacher's name mentioned. Do not feel obligated to send an email regarding class placement, this is truly optional.  

On behalf of the faculty, we are prayerfully working together to create the best placement and experience for your child next year.  We trust God's grace and wisdom throughout this process and prayerfully ask for your support as we seek the best placement for all MCS students.
