Science Research Exhibit Competition

The submission stage of the 2019 MOA Spring Scientific Research Exhibit Competition is officially open.   
Deadline for submissions is April 12, 2019.

Poster presentations and Oral Presentations will take place during the MOA 120th Annual Spring Convention at the Westin Southfield Detroit on Saturday morning May 18th.

MOA processes applications in order received for review and consideration by the Scientific Research Exhibit (SRE) Committee. Applications must meet currently acceptable academic and scientific standards, including proper abstract format.  
Applicants will be notified of acceptance by April 25, 2019.

Resolutions for the 2019 House of Delegates are now being accepted

The 2019 Michigan Osteopathic Association House of Delegates will meet on Thursday, May 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Westin Southfield Detroit. If you have resolutions you wish to submit to the 2019 House of Delegates, you can now do so via the MOA website.
 
Any MOA member in good standing may author a resolution; however, introduction of resolutions to the House of Delegates is limited to delegates, alternate-seated delegates, component associations, MOA Departments, Councils, or Board of Trustees. Non-delegate status members in good standing should contact their component association for assistance in identifying an appropriate channel for resolution introduction.

MOA members who wish to stay current on Florida requirements can get an MOA discount for online courses through the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association .Florida-licensed DEA registrants must complete the two-hour, state-mandated controlled substance prescribing CME course for the first time  no later than Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019.

COURSE SUMMARY: This course satisfies the new (2) Hour "Prescribing Controlled Substance" course requirement for physicians licensed in Florida that hold a DEA license.
